Perches Hotel caters for birds, particularly parrots and budgerigars, as well as small pet animals such as rats, rabbits and guinea pigs, and even reptiles. We are sorry that we cannot accommodate cats or dogs. Food is included in the price of accommodation unless your pet eats a pelleted diet or where specified in the price list.
Diets and Routine
Birds
Our routine is fresh water and seed in the morning and evening, and then a selection of fresh fruit and vegetables during the day. If your bird is on a pelleted diet then we would ask you to bring a sufficient quantity with you to cover the length of your bird’s stay with us.
We can provide a cage, or if you prefer you can bring your own if your bird would be happier. Most birds settle in well if you bring a few of their favourite toys and perches. We will ask you about specific routines to ensure your pet settles quickly and comfortably.
Small animals
Dry food is provided in the morning, then a variety of appropriate foods in the evening. Fresh hay is available throughout the day.
We have purpose-built internal cages (up to 6ft by 3ft) for your pet, or you may prefer to bring the one your pet is used to.
Reptiles
All reptiles are provided with the full spectrum of UVA and UVB and heat lamps.
Accommodation and Security
Perches Bird and Pet Hotel is housed in custom-built dwellings. Security is of the utmost importance to us. There is a full CCTV and alarm system in place with night vision cameras and shock sensors to doors, windows, walls and ceilings. The accommodation is fully heated and insulated.
